All levels of government are represented in the Bay Area. Because of the centralized location of our cities on the Oregon coast, and because the Bay Area is a population center, we are home to numerous federal, state and regional government entities. These include the U.S. Coast Guard, the Bureau of Land Management, Oregon State Parks and Recreation, Oregon State Police and more. Government entities contribute significantly to our quality of life and employment base.
